​Shreveport is a unique place. It's where we live, shop, eat and play and we wouldn't have it any other way. The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate is presenting Shreveport-Bossier Choice to engage the community in celebrating the places, restaurants, and local businesses we love.
In 2024 we saw over 35,000 votes cast and more than 4,400 local businesses compete across 230 subcategories grouped into twelve main categories. The contest showcased the incredible diversity and talent that makes Shreveport-Bossiera unique and thriving place to live, work, and play.

Launched in July 2023, the Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate is a dedicated digital newsroom of 10 journalists who live and work in the community, delivering in-depth local news and fostering a deeper connection with our readers.

The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate invests over $75,000 in marketing support promoting Shreveport-Bossier Choice, driving participation, and ensuring success for the community and local businesses.
How does it work?
During the nomination period, we invite our audience to nominate outstanding establishments and professionals in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Once nominations are taken, we will move them to a ballot for official voting. All nominations and voting will be done online at Voteshreveport.com
